Will I need to submit my passport at the biometrics appointment?
Yes. Your original passport must be submitted at the time of your biometrics appointment for visa processing.
How long will my passport be retained?
Passports are typically retained for 3–5 working days following the biometrics appointment. Processing times may vary depending on embassy workload and individual case requirements.
Can I travel internationally while my passport is with the visa centre?
No. As your passport will be held for processing, international travel is not possible until it has been returned.
Can I collect my passport in person?
Yes. Passports may be collected directly from the visa centre, provided the official receipt is presented.
Visa Issuance & Validity
Will the visa be physically stamped in my passport?
No. Saudi visas are issued electronically (e-visa). A copy will be sent by email and must be presented at immigration upon arrival.

Can the medical examination and biometrics appointment be completed on the same day?
No. Biometrics appointments can only be scheduled once all mandatory pre-requirements have been fully completed.
When can biometrics be scheduled after the medical examination?
There is no fixed timeframe. Processing durations vary depending on the medical clinic and completion of additional requirements such as:
- FCDO legalisation
- ACRO police certificate issuance
- Degree attestation
Once all documentation is finalised and compliant, the biometrics appointment can be scheduled.
Travel Planning
Can I book my flight before receiving my visa?
We strongly recommend waiting until your passport has been returned and the visa has been issued before booking travel arrangements.
Is this the final stage of the process?
The biometrics and visa issuance stage is generally the final step; however, all applications remain subject to the discretion of the Saudi authorities.

Are distance learning degrees accepted?
